Nearly 5,000 Bournemouth fans will pack the Jimmy Seed and part of the Upper West Stand on Saturday.
The Cherries will be plying their trade in the Premier League next season, but they could still snatch the title from Watford if they win this game.
Charlton will be unveiling their new Nike Laser II home kit for next season before the game. The kit is all red and is identical to the one worn by the China national team. The main shirt sponsor will again be the University Of Greenwich.
There is a lengthy gap between the selection of the kit and its appearance in the Just Sport shop. The three designs for the next campaign were selected in November of last year.
In days gone by, Charlton had the following season’s kit in the club shop before the final home game. It was a good policy, sales were brisk and there was a further good uptake at the opening match of the new season.
The red kit will be available later in the summer, when the away kit – all white with a broad red diagonal sash – as well as the all purple third kit, will be revealed.
2015/16 will be the last season of the current Nike deal and the Addicks are expected to change suppliers prior to the 2016/17 season.
Guy Luzon will want to finish on a high and will look to field as strong a team as he can.
Stephen Henderson has had an outstanding season and is one of the front runners for the Player Of The Year trophy, which will be presented on Sunday.
Chris Solly will feature on the right side of defence and Luzon may feel the large Bournemouth contingent may fire Rhoys Wiggins up.
Joe Gomez’s pace, and Tal Ben Haim’s guile may be utilised to try and quell the threat of Callum Wilson and former Addick, Yann Kermorgant.
Johann Gudmundsson is another with a good chance of picking up the Player Of The Year trophy, and may be joined in midfield by Jordan Cousins, Yoni Buyens and Frederic Bulot. Johnnie Jackson will not be fit enough to feature.
Up front it will probably be Tony Watt and Igor Vetokele in tandem again. Both will be better for the summer break. Vetokele has been carrying an Achilles knock since October.
The injury has affected the Angolan and there is a case for starting the lively Simon Church or Chris Eagles alongside Watt. In his last 25 appearances, Vetokele has scored just 3 goals.
Charlton could start with this team:
Henderson; Solly, Ben Haim, Gomez, Wiggins; Gudmundsson, Cousins, Buyens, Bulot; Watt, Vetokele.
Subs: Etheridge, Fox, Johnson, Lennon, Lepoint, Eagles, Church.
Premier League referee, Neil Swarbrick from Lancashire, will be the man in charge.
Eddie Howe will want to finish with a flourish and with promotion already assured, his team will not be under pressure. Luzon will have the same thoughts so the fans may see an entertaining spectacle before heading off for their summer break.
