Bournemouth travel to The Valley on Tuesday for the first of Charlton’s catch-up games.
The Addicks have won just three of their last seventeen league games, a run that has seen them drop into relegation zone, albeit with games in hand.
Former Charlton cult hero, Yann Kermorgant, is struggling with a heel injury and has no more than a 50/50 chance of being fit enough to be involved. Addicks fans would relish the opportunity to see Kermorgant back on the Valley pitch and it is possible the Frenchman could make a cameo appearance from the bench for the Cherries.
Jose Riga felt that Wednesday’s game against Huddersfield impacted on his team’s performance at Millwall. With just three days respite from the game at the Den, Riga may ring the changes and introduce fresh legs against Bournemouth.
Tottenham striker, Jonathan Obika, completed a deal that will keep him at The Valley until the end of the season on Monday.
Charlton are still looking to strengthen their squad and it is possible they may welcome another new face to the club ahead of kick-off.
Riga may send out a team that looks something like this:
Hamer; Wilson, Dervite, Morrison, Wiggins; Green, Poyet, Cousins, Harriott; Obika, Sordell.
Subs: Thuram-Ulien, Nego, Morrison, Ajdarevic, Jackson, Church, Ghoochannejhad.
James Linington from the Isle of Wight will be the man in charge,
The Addicks have to start winning matches to haul themselves away from the drop zone. They have some tough games ahead and will view this as a match they must win.
