Charlton have a five point cushion from the drop zone and currently sit in fifteenth position.
It may not be comfortable but the Addicks are not in the relegation dog fight. However, things can change quickly and with a tricky game at Brighton on Tuesday, Chris Powell will be anxious for a rare Saturday home win.
Bolton are on the fringes of the play-offs after their recent good run but will need a series of wins to propel them into the end of season lottery. They will need a speedy return to winning ways after losing at Ipswich in their last game.
Dougie Freedman’s side will have Chris Eagles to supply the bullets for David Ngog who may be partnered by the veteran, Kevin Davies, up front.
Powell has stuck with a 4-4-2 formation recently but could be tempted to play a more solid 4-5-1 shape. New signing, Florent Rouamba, is still awaiting a work permit but Mark Gower has had a couple of development squad games under his belt and is available.
The Addicks may look like this:
Button; Solly, Taylor, Morrison, Wiggins; Wilson, Stephens, Jackson, Harriott; Kermorgant, Haynes.
Subs: Hamer, Evina, Dervite, Gower, Pritchard, Wafstaff, Fuller.
Trevor Kettle from Rutland will be the man in charge. Kettle officiated Charlton’s 4-3 win at Watford on New Year’s Day.
This will be a tough game and the Addicks will be pleased if they get something from it.
