Young Kent golfers are being offered the chance to play with one of the county’s club PGA professionals in a new team pro-am tournament.
The inaugural Kent County Club Junior PGA Pro-Am, jointly organised by the Kent Golf Union and The PGA in Kent, will take place at the Cave Hotel and Golf Resort at Boughton on Saturday, May 30 and is open to teams made up of one PGA professional and three junior members from the same Kent club.
Sam Smith, secretary of The PGA in Kent, said: “The event will be played over 18 holes and teams may include a maximum of one ‘Category 1’ handicap player and we are also hoping that each team will include one female junior if possible.”
