Invicta Dynamos Head Coach Kevin Parrish has announced that former GB international Greg Chambers has been released from the club after just 9 appearances in Kent.
The arrival of the 31 year old Canadian born skater in Gillingham ahead of 2014/15 raised many eyebrows throughout the NIHL with the Ontario born skater boasting a CV featuring numerous seasons in the Elite League, the EPL and a host of appearances for Team GB across four tournaments.
However the accomplished right winger has struggled to shine since his switch to the NIHL South’s top tier and he will now depart the Dynamos after just 9 outings where a single goal and 4 assists saw him tally 5 points.
Speaking on the departure of Greg Chambers Head Coach Kevin Parrish revealed that he was now looking to add something new to the team having taken the difficult decision to make changes so early in the campaign.
Parrish said, “It’s not ideal to be tinkering with the roster less than ten games into the season and it’s unfortunate that things didn’t work out with Greg in the way that both parties would have hoped.”
“We wish him all the best in the future however now it’s about working for the good of the team and I’m looking to bring a new dimension to the squad to take us on to the next level.”
“Hopefully we’ll soon be in a position to announce a couple of new arrivals at the Silver Blades who will complement the side but also offer us different options out there on the ice”.
The Invicta Dynamos are now next in action against the Bracknell Hornets on Saturday as they travel to Berkshire looking to repeat the 7-5 success they enjoyed against the same opponents on Sunday.
The following day they then return home to host the London Raiders in Gillingham with faceoff at the Silver Blades at the normal time of 5.15pm for this NIHL Southern Cup encounter.
