Welling United manager Loui Fazakerley has completed the signing of centre back, Michael Chambers.
Having impressed at Dulwich Hamlet, he signed for Crystal Palace Under 18’s for around £100,000 before progressing to play for the Under 21s.
He joined Welling United for a loan spell when Jamie Day was in charge towards the end of 2014 before returning to Palace.
He returned for a second spell for the Wings under Fazakerley and was instrumental in the clubs’ escape from the drop.
After Crystal Palace chose not to offer him a new contract, Fazakerley was delighted to secure his signature and he will be expected to fill the centre role when the manager plays his preferred back three formation.
