Kent’s Jake Dixon had a challenging weekend in the latest round of the Moto 2 season in Italy last weekend.

Dixon went into the weekend on the back of a podium last weekend, but after a fight back at the Mugello circuit he came home in 12th place.

The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider has started from fifteenth, but on the first lap he dropped to twenty-first position having got caught up in an incident.

As the laps ticked by Dixon picked off the riders in front of him, making up an impressive nine places.

Speaking after the weekend, Dixon said: “We have not been fast enough throughout the weekend.

“We have three weeks to rest, to see what we can improve and come back stronger in Assen.”
