The Invicta Dynamos got back to winning ways on Saturday night as they recorded a morale boosting 6-4 win down in Cardiff.
Two goals from Peter Vaisainen in the first period got the Dynamos off to the perfect start and despite being pegged back early in the second period, Andy Smith’s breakaway restored the two goal advantage going into the final period.
The Dynamos showed great character to hold on for all two points as they went on to score three more in the final twenty minutes.
Despite conceding the opening goal of the final period, Callum Best made it 4-2 and Smith was to get his second of the night to get Kevin Parrish’s side three goals clear of the home side.
Two goals for the Devils pulled the game back to 4-5, but Tim Smith settled the nerves of the travelling support when he was on hand to fire home in the closing moments.
The victory sets up Sunday night’s clash with the Streatham Redskins nicely with fans set to flock to the Silver Blades Ice Bowl in Gillingham for the final game before Christmas.
Fans are being urged to take a teddy bear to the throw on the ice in aid of Demelza Hospice, whilst buckets will go round to collect for hockey charity HP4K.
Face off on Sunday night is 5:15pm.
