Canterbury Rugby Club will play host to the Kent county side on Saturday when they open their County Championship Division One season.

The Kent side will line up against Hertfordshire with kick-off at 3pm.

The county side are back in the top tier of the competition after winning promotion last season and claiming the County Plate with victory over Durham at Twickenham.

A number of Canterbury players have been included in the Kent squad for a three match programme.

After meeting Hertfordshire at Merton Lane, Kent take on Cornwall at Gravesend on May 16^th then travel to Cleve, Bristol for the final group match against Gloucestershire.
