Canterbury Rugby Club is to appoint its first full time, professional Head of Rugby.
The post is being advertised immediately and the club hopes to announce the successful candidate in May.
The HOR will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of rugby in the club, will head up the senior coaching team and carry out the role of Community Coach.
Canterbury Acting Chairman Giles Hilton said: ‘This is a massively important step and we are looking for an outstanding individual to take us forward.”
“Rugby has grown at every level in the club and we feel it is the right time to have a professional to oversee all the activities at an exciting period in our history.”
“The search for the right person has already begun and we are advertising the post both locally and nationally in a variety of media outlets.”
The club is looking for someone with high level coaching qualifications and a strong rugby and administrative background.
The closing date for applications is April 29th.
