Canterbury made a fruitless journey to Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday where their National 2 South game was called off because of a frost bound pitch.
Having been told that the match could go ahead they arrived at the Hertfordshire club to find that, despite a sunny afternoon, the ground still posed a threat to player safety.
The game was called off shortly before the scheduled kick-off time and will be played on February 25th.
Cantebury Pilgrims’ Zoo Shield game at league leaders Richmond Saxons also fell victim to the icy weather.
