Chatham town finally ended the goalless streak they have recently been on with a dominating 2-1 win against Canterbury City.
The game kicked off with a quick start from Chatham town with lots of possession creating many chances early on. However, they lacked the killer instinct when in-front of net.
Tensions rose between the teams as Canterbury City’s J.McCallum found himself a yellow card in an attempt to win the ball back and shift the momentum in favour of Canterbury City.
Finally late in the first half Chatham Town took the lead with a perfect cross by M.Bodkin that was won by C.Walter-Wright who headed it into the top corner.
The first half ended 1-0 to Chatham Town.
The second half kicked off with Chatham towns J.evans getting a yellow card due to a poor challenge. But minutes later he finds himself finessing a shot bottom right surely securing the game for the Chats.
Half way through the second half Canterbury city’s O.Lee head a cross from D.Pilcher into the bottom right leaving Canterbury battling to equalise the game.
Despite their efforts the game finished Chatham town 2-1 Canterbury City.
