A busy day for the club’s academy sides on Tuesday, with both the Under-21s and Under-18s involved in friendly fixtures.
The Under-21s entertained Southend at Sparrows Lane at 1.00pm and won 4-1. Goals from Bradley Jordan, Tobi Sho-Silva and Joe Pigott gave the Addicks a 3-0 interval lead.
Though Jack Payne pulled one back for the Shrimpers shortly after the break, a fine late goal by Jordan secured Charlton a 4-1 win.

Later in the afternoon, the Under-18s visited Romford for a game against West Ham that kicked-off at 5.30pm.
Another fine performance saw the Addicks triumph 4-2. Like the Under-21s, the Under-18s established a 3-0 interval lead thanks to goals from Brandon Hanlan, Karlan Ahearne-Grant and Joshua Umerah. Charlton made wholesale changes at the break at the game was more even in the second period with the Addicks fourth goal coming from Emmanuel Afolabi.
