Brown signs for Soccer Elite FA

Former Gillingham goalkeeper Jason Brown has signed for Soccer Elite FA following in the footsteps of Andy Hessenthaler.Jason Brown SEFA

The former Gills keeper has joined Soccer Elite FA as their Academy GK specialist across each of their existing and new Academy centres, just weeks after Hessenthaler joined up with the team of specialist coaches.

Brown, who has previously been the Wales, Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United, Cardiff City and Aberdeen goalkeeper, will start work with the Maidstone based football Academy this week.

Jason’s playing pedigree and his desire to personally invest in the development of talented goalkeepers makes him an ideal fit for the growth and expansion of Soccer Elite FA, in particular the investment they have been looking to make with all the existing and indeed future goalkeepers ranging from SEFA Scholars all the way through the Academy to their year 3’s.

Brown will be pivotal in the creation and delivery of their Academy goalkeeping coaching syllabus plus will be designing and delivering bespoke 6 week programmes for invited goalkeepers at the elite level within the Academy from across the age ranges, offering those goalkeepers the opportunity to ‘push on’ with their development under his direct and ‘hands-on’ tutelage across the 6 weeks.

In addition Jason will be hosting GK masterclasses within and external to their Academy, working with goalkeepers from across Soccer Elite and their team partnerships as well as facilitating specific GK Elite Training Camps during school half-term and end of term holidays.

Jason retains a huge network of contacts across the professional game and is still currently working with Wales national team as one of their goalkeeping coaches. Through this extensive network Jason will be able to profile Soccer Elite’s top goalkeepers with the respective clubs where appropriate as well as securing additional and new category 1 fixtures for the elite Academy sides across the age ranges.

Brown will make his first appearance for Soccer Elite FA on Friday 13th September at Maplesden Noakes venue where Soccer Elite’s core GK Academy is based.

He will be observing Soccer Elite’s set up as well as being available for a ‘live’ Kent Sports News interview and will speak with parents and players alike between 5.30pm & 6.45pm.
