Broncos move to Gills not a done deal

Gillingham Football Club have moved to cool speculation that the London Broncos will be moving to Priestfield on a permanent basis.

It seems certain that the Broncos will seek to play their games away from the Twickenham Stoop after an announcement by Gus Mackay, the Broncos Ceo, that the side were looking at all options for the 2013 season.

Having played their round 14 game against Hull FC at Priestfield back in May, attracting the Broncos one of their best crowds of the season, speculation began to link the club with a move to Medway, but that may not be the case.

“Our position is that we hosted a game in May, which everyone enjoyed, and that it has been a target of the Chairman for some
years to bring professional rugby to Kent,” Gillingham Football Club told Code13′s Ian Ramsdale.

“To that effect he has had talks over the past few years with a number of Professional Rugby Clubs, but as yet he has been
unable to achieve his goals in this regard.”
