Weymouth v Bromley Preview

After the disappointment of Tuesday night’s late postponement of their game at Notts County, Bromley are on their travels again this Saturday as they head down to Dorset for a National League fixture against Weymouth.

The Ravens go into the game sitting in thirteenth place with 26 points from 14 games played, but still just four points off the play off spots.

Neil Smith’s side won their televised game against Aldershot Town 2-0 last weekend, thanks to goals from Jack Bridge & Michael Cheek, their first home win since the home game with Weymouth in October.

Weymouth are twenty first in the table with 15 points from 20 National League matches, three points off safety, on Tuesday night they lost 1-0 away at Boreham Wood. The Terras have taken a while to get acclimatised to life in the Non League top tier following promotion last season under manager Brian Stock, but they have won two of their last five games.

When the sides met at Hayes Lane in October Bromley won a very entertaining game 3-2. Weymouth taking the lead through Josh Wakefield, before The Ravens scored three goals via Michael Cheek, Nassam L’Ghoul and Ben Williamson, only for the visitors to score a late goal from Tom Whelan to provide a frantic finish to the match.

The Ravens are unbeaten away from home so far this campaign and Smith will be looking to continue this run as he has more of his squad of players to pick from, with Chris Bush and Liam Trotter both back from suspension.

The game is being played behind closed doors as per the current Covid Restrictions, with a live stream of the game available for £10 from the Weymouth FC website.
