Bromley vs Notts County – Preview

Bromley are back in League Two action at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon when they take on Notts County.

The Ravens go into the game sitting in eleventh place with 11 points from 5 league games, having drawn 1-1 away at Colchester Utd last weekend.

Michael Cheek scored the opening goal of the game, before The Us equalised in the second half. Having just got back in the side Besart Topalloj was sent off for a second yellow card late in the game, making him unavailable for selection this week.

The Magpies travel down from Nottingham sitting in second place with 11 points from their opening 5 League Two games. Last Saturday Stuart Maynard’s side won 2-0 at home to Accrington Stanley thanks to a double strike from former Republic of Ireland striker David McGoldrick.

The two sides met on a few occasions in their National League days, with Bromley coming out on top in the majority of games at Hayes Lane. In the last meeting between the teams in March 2023 the game ended 1-1, Adam Marriott putting The Ravens in front with Macaulay Langstaff scoring a last minute equaliser for Notts County.

The Magpies winning promotion via the play offs at the end of that season. Having return to the Football League, Notts finished fourteenth in the table last season, with former Wealdstone boss Stuart Maynard taking over as manager in January 2024.

Having won their opening two league games, Andy Woodman will be looking for his side to get back to winning ways, while County will be hoping to continue their impressive unbeaten start to the campaign as we head into the Autumn.

Tickets are still available from the official Bromley website, £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, £7 for Under 18s & £5 for Under 12s, with prices going up at midnight on Friday.

Kick off is at 3pm.
