Bromley vs Macclesfield Town preview

After a battling point at Barrow last weekend, Bromley are back in National League action at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon when they entertain in-form Macclesfield Town.

Bromley v Palace

John Askey’s side travel down from Cheshire fifth place in the table with fifteen points from eight games, having won their last two games and will be looking to extend that run against Neil Smith’s side.

Bromley have yet to find any consistency in performances or results, which  sees them with eight points from as many games, sitting in eighteenth.

There were encouraging signs defensively though in the 1-1 draw at Barrow and Blair Turgott registered  a spectacular long range effort to equalise.

Three goal Tobi Sho-Silva is still the only player to have scored more than twice so far this season as Smith still searches for the right strike force, not helped by injuries and suspensions.

Last season saw the teams win their respective home games in close fought encounters, but if Smith’s men are to repeat their 1-0 victory of last year they will need to tighten up the defence which has leaked early goals in every home game so far this campaign.

If Bromley can get the mix right, a home win could kick start their season and bring the crowds back to Hayes Lane.
