Bromley vs Lincoln City – Preview

Fresh from Tuesday night’s hard fought win over Woking, Bromley are back in National League action at Hayes Lane again on Saturday afternoon when they face promotion contenders Lincoln City.Bromley v Woking - Vanarama National League - 04/10/2016

The Imps arrive in good form sitting second in the table and having won their previous two, the latest a 2-1 victory at Wrexham in the week and with the knowledge that manager Danny Cowley has a great record at Hayes Lane.

His previous two sides Concord Rangers and Braintree town both won their games at the home of The Ravens when he was in charge.

Neil Smith was rightly full of praise for his side following the 2-1 win over Woking, but he is still hampered by injuries to Louis Dennis, George Porter, Jack Holland, Ben May and Alex Wall.

Dave Martin should return from suspension to give Bromley some more attacking options, but they also lost the services of Max Porter who decided to join Chelmsford City on Monday.

Academy graduates Jordan Higgs and Daniel Ajakayie have impressed since making the step up to the first team squad and could well feature again at the weekend, while Lee Minshull made a welcome return from injury, scoring the last minute winner.

Last season when the two sides met at Hayes Lane The Ravens won 2-0 and completed the double over Lincoln. Bromley fans would certainly take that again this time round as The Ravens look to push away from the bottom four. With the crowds significantly lower so far this campaign a good run of results would hopefully bring some more fans back on a regular basis.
