The busy festive period of fixtures continues for Bromley on Wednesday afternoon with a Kent derby, when they take on Dover Athletic in the National League at Hayes Lane.
The New Year’s Day game pitches the same opponents against each other from the Boxing Day matches, which Dover won 3-0 at Crabble with goals from Ricky Modeste, Will De Havilland and Inih Effiong.
Andy Hessenthaller’s team then went on to win 1-0 at Ebbsfleet United on Saturday with a goal from Michael Woods, which took the Whites up to 11th in the table with 39 points from 26 games, unbeaten in three.
Bromley bounced back from the defeat at Dover with a convincing 3-0 home win over Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, Michael Cheek, Luke Coulson & Josh Rees netting for the Ravens, a victory that manager Neil Smith dedicated to the fans.
The win kept Bromley in third place with 47 points from 26 games, just two points off the leaders Barrow and ended a tricky run of three straight defeats.
Saturday saw a bumper crowd of over 2,300 at Hayes Lane and another good attendance is expected for this game. When the teams met at Hayes Lane last August it finished 2-2, The Ravens grabbing a point with a last minute Frankie Sutherland penalty and this match up looks set to be another closely fought encounter between two familiar foes looking to start 2020 on a high.
