Bromley vs Dagenham & Redbridge preview

Only 48 hours after their last game at Dover Athletic Bromley are back in National League action on Saturday afternoon when they host Dagenham & Redbridge at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game on the back of three consecutive defeats, conceding nine goals in the process and manager Neil Smith has said he will be doing some soul searching with his players at training today ahead of their next challenge.

Remarkably despite only two wins in their last twelve matches Bromley still sit in third place with 44 points from 26 games and a turn round in fortunes would still see them challenge for the title in the second half of the season.

Jordan Higgs returned for the 3-0 Boxing Day defeat at Dover and it was the last of the three match ban for Chris Bush. It’s hoped Reeco Hackett-Fairchild will also be back to action soon, although Mark Cousins and Adrian Clifton will be out for a bit longer.

Dagenham travel over from Essex on the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Ebbsfleet United, The Daggers sit seventeenth with 31 points from 27 games under manager Peter Taylor, but have only won twice in their last ten games.

When the teams met at Victoria Road in September it ended 1-1 live on BT Sports with Hackett-Fairchild scoring a superb goal in injury time to give the Ravens a point.

This looks set to be another close fought encounter between two sides desperate to find some form as they end 2019 and look to move on to the new year with a positive result.
