Bromley vs Chesterfield – Preview

Bromley play the last of three consecutive home games tonight when they entertain familiar foes Chesterfield at Hayes Lane in a League Two match.

The Ravens drew 1-1 at home to MK Dons on Saturday, Michael Cheek equalising midway through the first half, his fifth goal of the season so far.

The draw kept Andy Woodman’s team in eighteenth place with 8 points from 8 league games. New signing Carl Jenkinson joined the club on Friday and was an unused substitute for the Milton Keynes game, but may be in contention for a start against Chesterfield.

Chesterfield make the journey down from Derbyshire sitting in ninth place with 12 points from 8 League Two matches, on Saturday Andy Cook’s me beat Doncaster Rovers 3-0 thanks to goals from Chey Dunkley, Paddy Madden and James Berry. Rovers ending the game with nine men after two second half red cards.

When the sides met in the National League last season The Spirerites won their home game 2-0 in October, on their way to winning the title. While Bromley won their home game 4-3 in March, Cheek netting a hat-trick and Sam Woods with the injury time winner. Will Grigg, Ollie Banks & Tom Naylor were on target for Chesterfield that day in a dramatic top of the table clash.

With Bromley not having won a league game since August, they will be hoping for a similar performance on Tuesday night to pick up three points and move them away from the bottom two with a tough October fixtures schedule coming up.

Tickets are still available from the official Bromley website, £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, £7 for Under 18s & £5 for Under 12s, with prices going up by £4 at midnight on Monday.

Kick off is at 7:45pm.
