Bromley return to EFL Trophy action tonight when they take on Chelsea’s Under 21s at Hayes Lane in their second Group Stage match.
The Ravens picked up a bonus point in their opening game in the competition when they beat Cambridge Utd on penalties after a 3-3 draw and a win on Tuesday would put them in with a good chance of qualifying for the next round. Their final Group C South game for Andy Woodman’s side is away at Charlton Athletic in mid-November.
Chelsea have yet to play a game in the group stage this season. The Blues’ youngsters are currently fifteenth in Premier League 2 under manager Filipe Coelho, winning one and darwing once in four games so far.
In the previous EFL Trophy game a number of players who hadn’t featured in the league games were given a chance and there’s a good chance many will feature again against Chelsea, with the likes of keeper Sam Long, centre backs Taylor Foran & Omar Sowunmi and strikers Olufela Olomola, Levi Amantchi & Josh Thomas all needing game time.
Tickets are still available from the official Bromley website, £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, £7 for Under 18s & £5 for Under 12s. Prices increase by £4 on the day.
Kick off is at 7:45pm.
