Following on from Tuesday night’s hard fought win, Bromley look to build on the momentum this Saturday afternoon when they entertain Barrow in a League Two fixture at Hayes Lane.
The Ravens picked up a 1-0 win at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday courtesy of a first half Ben Thompson goal, the first League Two win since August for Andy Woodman’s side.
The victory took Bromley up to nineteenth with 13 points from 12 league games. The victory was achieved without top scorer Michael Cheek, but did see the return of club captain Byron Walker to the starting line up.
Barrow make the long journey down from Cumbria sitting in eighth with 20 points from 13 league games.
On Tuesday night The Bluebirds drew 1-1 with Notts County ending a run of three consecutive defeats. Barrow lead with a Rory Feely goal after 7 minutes right up until the 93rd when they conceded a penalty.
Stephen Clemence’s side made a good start to the season, but results have fallen away more recently.
The sides met previously in their National League days, most recently in January 2020 when Barrow won 2-0 at home and October 2019 when The Bluebirds came away from Hayes Lane with a 2-1 win in the season cut short by Covid.
Bromley fans will remember their first meeting in October 2015 with great affection, when The Ravens ran out 5-0 winners at Hayes Lane in probably their best performance of that season.
With a quarter of the league campaign completed, if Bromley can keep up the current points per game ratio they will be set to secure another season in League Two.
Tickets are still available from the official Bromley website, £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, £7 for Under 18s & £5 for Under 12s, with prices going up by £4 at midnight on Friday. Kick off is at 3pm.
