Bromley are back in National League action again on Tuesday night when they entertain Yeovil Town at Hayes Lane, looking to quickly bounce back from the 2-0 home defeat to Stockport County last Saturday.
The two sides have already met at the same venue this season when The Glovers came away with a 1-0 win after extra time in the FA Cup first round last month, but Neil Smith’s side are doing much better in their respective league campaigns so far.
Bromley go into the game sitting in fifth place with 19 points from 12 matches, while Darren Sarl’s side sit bottom of the league having picked up only 5 points from 10 games.
The only matches Yeovil have won to date this season have been in the FA Cup, beating Dover Athletic on penalties and then Bromley.
History in on the visitors side though as the last time The Ravens defeated Yeovil was back in September 1987 when two Alan Scotting goals saw Trevor Ford’s side win 2-0 in a season that saw Yeovil win the Isthmian League Premier Division and Bromley finish runners up.
Last season The Glovers won their home gam 3-1, while it finished all square in a 1-1 draw at Hayes Lane, the cup tie last month was decided by an injury time winners for Yeovil in extra time scored by Gabriel Rogers.
In their last game Yeovil lost 3-1 at home to Eastleigh.Neil Smith was happy that his side created so many chances against Stockport, but frustrated that they were unable to take any of them in an off day for the forwards.
The Bromley manager is hoping that Taylor Maloney will be available after injury and Ben Williamson returns following a ban for a red card at Altrincham.
This looks set to be another close fought encounter with Bromley aiming to keep themselves in the play off spots and Yeovil desperate for points to get out of the bottom three.
The match will see a maximum of 1,300 home fans in attendance, the second game Bromley have been able to let supporters in to the ground for this season.
All tickets must be purchased in advance with no on the day entry, but those unable to come to the game can use the excellent live streaming service to view the match for £9.99, details available form the official club website.
