Bromley v Tranmere Rovers preview

After a two week break caused by cup fixtures and postponements Bromley hope to get back in National League action on Saturday afternoon as they entertain Tranmere Rovers at Hayes Lane.

Bromley v Gills

The Ravens go into the game unbeaten in three matches sat comfortably in mid-table, but still missing a number of players due to injury including Pierre Joseph-Dubois, Louis Dennis, Max Porter & Ben May. Although on the plus side top scorer Moses Emmanuel still remains a Bromley player at the time of writing despite interest from league clubs.

In their first season following relegation Tranmere head down from the Wirral sitting in eighth place just outside the play off spots with 44 points from 26 games having won 4-3 at Barrow last time out despite trailing 3-2 heading into injury time. Manager Gary Brabin will be looking for more consistency going into the new year as they aim for an immediate return to League Two.

In the reverse fixture at Prenton Park back in October Rovers ran out 4-0 winners and although there was some controversial officiating against Bromley the ex-league club were too good for them to handle on the day.

Having targeted a top ten finish in the week, Mark Goldberg will be hoping his side have become more streetwise since then and give their illustrious opponents a tougher challenge this time round.

With a good crowd expected it should be another landmark game for The Ravens in their debut season at this level against former football league opposition who were playing in a League Cup Final at Wembley Stadium when The Ravens were bottom of Ryman League Division One 16 years ago.
