Bromley v Sutton United preview
Bromley look to quickly bounce back from their 5-1 drubbing at Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday when they entertain old rivals Sutton Utd at Hayes Lane on Bank Holiday Monday in the National League.

The game dubbed as El Plastico by the fans as both clubs have 3G pitches.

With both sides having started the season well before losing their respective games on Saturday this should be another closely fought derby between the two clubs.

While Neil Smith’s side were losing in Essex, Sutton were on the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline at home to Maidstone Utd.

Former Bromley striker Moses Emmanuel is now at Sutton, having scored 37 goals in two seasons at Hayes Lane he could cause his former employers a few headaches if he gets the call from Paul Doswell who has mainly used him from the bench so far this season.

When the two sides met over the festive period in the last campaign spoils were shared as Bromley won 1-0 at home while Sutton won 2-0 at Gander Green Lane.

Having only conceded two goals prior to the Dagenham game Bromley will need to rediscover their defensive cohesion that was sadly lacking at Victoria Road. The only bright spark of the match being Luke Wanadio’s well constructed goal that briefly drew The Ravens level in the first half.

There should be another big crowd at Hayes Lane for this one with the old rivals looking to get one over on each other and to prove their defeats on Saturday were just blips in form.
