After a hard fought 2-1 win away at Torquay Utd in midweek Bromley are back in National League action on Saturday when they entertain title challengers Notts County at Hayes Lane.
The Ravens picked up a vital three points in Devon on Tuesday night with top scorers Omar Sowunmi and Adam Marriott both on the scoresheet, the win took Andy Woodman’s side up to ninth in the table with 51 points from 34 matches played, just two points off the play off spots, having only lost twice in twelve games so far this year.
Woodman’s bad luck with injuries to his small squad continued with Byron Webster, Michael Cheek and Louis Dennis having to go off during the match at Torquay, while Billy Bingham wasn’t able to travel.
The Bromley boss will be hoping to have some of them back available for Saturday.
Notts County travel down from the East Midlands sitting in second place with 83 points from 35 league games, one point behind Wrexham having played one league match more.
Last Saturday The Magpies lost 2-1 at home to Dagenham & Redbridge, only their second defeat in the league this season. Rueden Rodrigues having put Luke Williams’ side in front before conceding twice to the managerless Daggers.
When the teams met at Meadow Lane in November the game ended 1-1 with Adam Chicksen putting Notts in front early on before Michael Cheek equalised for Bromley in the second half. This game looks set to be equally as tight with both clubs in need of three points to maintain their challenge for play offs & promotion.
With only one automatic promotion place from The National League available and both Wrexham & Notts County on eighty plus points already, there is a real chance that a team could finish the season with over a hundred points and not get promoted with the lottery of the play offs, emphasising the importance of the run in for Bromley’s visitors on Saturday as well as The Ravens bid for a place in the post season games.
Match Tickets are available from the official club website in advance at £20 for adults, £15 for concessions and £7 for Under 16s, Under 11s free with a paying adult. Prices increase by £2 on the match day and home fans can now pay on the gate.
There is also a printed programme available at the match for £3.00. Kick off is at 3pm.
