Bromley v Maidenhead United preview

The Ravens take on The Magpies at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon, when in form Bromley entertain Maidenhead United in the National League.

The Ravens go into the game unbeaten in five and having won their last two matches, the most recent an impressive 2-1 win away at Altrincham with Corey Whitely and Todd Miller scoring the vital goals.

The victory took Bromley up to thirteenth in the table with nine points from seven games played, just two points off the top seven.

Manager Andy Woodman has been busy in the loan market over the last week, picking up midfielder Ryan Jones from Bristol Rovers, before also adding forward Kido Taylor-Hart and defender Alex Kirk from Arsenal and finally midfielder Lewis Leigh from Preston North End.

Louis Dennis looked to have pick up an injury at Altrincham, with Bim Pepple, Soul Kader & Mitchell Bergkamp all still out injured, but Cole Kpekawa will be back from suspension.

Woodman looks to have some more options now, although Bromley will only be able to select five of his seven loan signings in each match day squad.

Maidenhead currently sit tenth in the National League with ten points from seven matches, on Saturday Alan Devonshire’s team drew 0-0 with Woking, their third consecutive scoreless draw, extending their unbeaten run to four games.

Another impressive start from one of the few part time teams left in the top tier of Non League football dsespite a large number of changes in the squad over the summer.

Last season when the sides met at Hayes Lane in February they drew 1-1, Louis Dennis equalising late on for Bromley after Emile Acauah had put Maidenhead in front, with The Magpies having won the reverse fixture 1-0 in the October.

The two sides have met reguklarly over the years from their days in the Isthmian League rigfht up through to National League football and they usually produce enetrtianing encounters.

With the International break for Premier League & Championship teams a good crowd is expected at Hayes Lane for this one. The game is also live on TNT Sports.

Tickets are available from the Bromley FC website, Adults £20, Concessions £15, Under 16’s £7, 11 years and under are free (accompanied by a paying adult). Please note: ticket prices will automatically increase by £2 online from midnight ahead of kick-off and on the gate.
