Bromley v Maidenhead United preview

Bromley return to National League action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Maidenhead Utd at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game on a run of three draws, the latest a 1-1 away at Scunthorpe Utd, where Michael Cheek but them in front before The Iron equalised late on.

The point kept Andy Woodman’s team in sixth place with 40 points from 28 league games played. Bromley have only lost once in their last seven games, but strangely have only won once at home since the end of September.

Maidenhead make the trip over from Berkshire sitting in sixteenth with 32 points from 28 games, Alan Devonshire’s team won 2-1 away at York City on Saturday with goals from Ashley Nathaniel-George and Cole Kpekawa, this was The Magpies second win of 2023, having lost three of their last five games.

When the teams met at York Road in October, Maidenhead won 1-0, Kpekawa with the vital goal five minutes from full time to give The Magpies all three points.

The match at Hayes Lane in April at the end of last season ended 0-0 and this game looks set to be equally as tight between two teams well known to each other over the years from their Isthmian League days, up through Conference South and now Non-League’s top flight.

Bromley signed young keeper Sam Long on loan from Lincoln City this week, having brought in striker Charlie Kendall from The Imps last Friday, just in time for him to make his debut from the bench at Scunthorpe.

While keeper Tom Smith returned to Arsenal having made 13 league appearances for The Ravens and is now on loan at League Two Colchester Utd.

Woodman may still be looking to add to his squad via the loan market and Bromley look to maintain their play off challenge.

Match Tickets are available from the official club website in advance at £20 for adults, £15 for concessions and £7 for Under 16s, Under 11s free with a paying adult. Prices increase by £2 on the match day and home fans can now pay on the gate.

There is also a printed programme available at the match for £3.00.

Kick off is at 3pm.
