Bromley v Guiseley preview
Bromley v Guiseley preview

After having their last three scheduled games postponed Bromley look set to return to action at Hayes Lane on Saturday when they entertain Guiseley in The National League.

The Ravens haven’t played since 2nd March when they drew 0-0 at home to Spennymoor Town in the FA Trophy Quarter Final, the replay has been called off twice since then as was last weekend’s league trip to Chester.

Bromley players and fans all travelled to County Durham on Tuesday only for the match to be postponed at 6.45pm and they have been asked to do the same next week with very little prospect of the game actually taking place.

It will come as a welcome break to play a game and shake off the travel weariness.

Guiseley travel down from Yorkshire having not played for even longer, their last match was a 4-0 defeat at Sutton on 24th February, before they fell foul of the recent bad weather.

The Lions are currently bottom of the league with 25 points from 35 games, eleven points off safety and haven’t won a game in 2018.

Former Republic of Ireland  defender Sean St Ledger has taken over as manager recently and will be looking to pick up some vital points as soon as possible.

Neil Smith’s side are tenth having picked up 52 points from 34 games, eight points off the play offs, but with two games in hand on most sides above them.

When the two sides met at Nethermoor Park in November The Ravens ran out 1-0 winners in a close fought contest, Guiseley playing most of the game with ten men.

With both teams more than ready to get back to playing this should be another entertaining game at The Lane with crucial points at stake heading into the final quarter of the season.
