Bromley look to continue their unbeaten run on Saturday as they entertain Guiseley in The National League at Hayes Lane.
Having won three and drawn one of their last five games under interim manager Neil Smith, The Ravens have achieved the main goal of their debut campaign by securing another season in Non-League’s top flight and now aim for the second goal of a top ten finish.
A single goal victory over Halifax Town on Tuesday night, thanks to a 75th minute Adam Cunnington goal, has given the fans the luxury of being able to look up the table in optimism rather than down it in fear.
With another tough game at Eastleigh next Tuesday it will be interesting to see if Smith rotates his squad given the recent hectic fixtures schedule, with Brad Goldberg pushing for a start and Louis Dennis back in contention.
Guiseley travel down from Yorkshire in eighteenth place with 40points from 35 games, five points clear of the relegation zone and having picked up an impressive point at home to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night drawing 2-2.
The visitors won the corresponding fixture 2-0 back in November, a game played out in torrential rain and part of a dismal month of defeats for The Ravens.
Having drawn three of their last four games Guiseley look to keep things tight away from home and will be a difficult prospect to breakdown for Bromley who haven’t been free scoring of late, but have shown the craft to eek out single goal wins in close matches.
With some Yorkshire based Bromley fans travelling down with the visiting supporters there should be a good friendly atmosphere at the match and there have been calls from supporters to do away with the segregation measures which are usually put in place for National League games at The Lane, although that may not be in the clubs hands.
