Bromley return to National League action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain in-form Gateshead at Hayes Lane.
The Ravens are yet to win this season and will have their work cut out to change that against Steve Watson’s side who have started the season with three wins and a draw.
On Tuesday night Bromley lost 1-0 at Eastleigh in a below par performance that manger Neil Smith said he didn’t understand given the intensity of the previous game at home to Harrogate.
With Alan Dunne, Adam Mekki, Kyle Da Silva and Jordan Higgs all out injured Smith has very few options as far as personnel changes go and has yet to settle on a formation or style of play four games in to the campaign.
Marc-Anthony Okoye stepped in at left back in midweek and central defender Jack Holland was once again deployed as an emergency striker late in the game.
The Heed drew 1-1 at Boreham Wood on Tuesday night with a last minute equaliser and now have to make the journey down south again to face familiar opposition in Bromley.
The two sides met four times last season twice in the league and over two legs of the FA Trophy semi final, The Ravens winning 3-2 at home in the trophy and 2-1 away in the league, with the other two games ending in draws.
Having drawn two and lost two the Bromley team needs the backing of the supporters for this one to get behind them and help The Ravens kick start the season with a much needed win against tough opposition.
