Before Bromley can completely focus on Saturday’s FA Cup game with Peterborough, they are in Kent Senior Cup action on Tuesday night when they entertain Faversham Town At Hayes Lane.
Faversham are currently thirteenth in Bostik League Division One South East, having won 2-1 at home to Guernsey on Saturday.
Bromley beat Hartlepool 4-0 at weekend which took them up to fourteenth in the National League thanks to goals from Omar Bugeil, George Porter and a brace of penalties from Frankie Sutherland.
Neil Smith has yet to indicate what kind of team he will field for this cup tie, but may use is as an opportunity to give game time to players who have been on the bench of late and some of the promising Academy students.
Faversham’s last visit to Hayes Lane ended in a 7-2 defeat to Cray Wands in October and they will be keen not to suffer a repeat of that afternoon. The Whites manager Ray Turner stepped down soon after and coach Clive Walker is in caretaker control.
Given the league structure now only allows 38 games then the Lillywhites will be looking to progress in this competition without the worry of a fixture pile up.
With The Ravens possibly distracted by the FA Cup, Faversham could seize the chance to cause a cup upset of their own.
Entrance for the game is only £5.
