Bromley v Doncaster Rovers preview

On the back of a superb derby day victory away at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, Bromley return to League Two action on Tuesday night when they entertain another promotion chasing team in Doncaster Rovers at Hayes Lane.

Andy Woodman’s team won 1-0 at Plough Lane courtesy of a second half Corey Whitely goal, which took them back up to tenth in the table with 48 points from 34 games, seven points off the play off places.

Manager Andy Woodman has described the run in as twelve cup finals for The Ravens and challenged his players to make history again in challenging for the post season. The Ravens have only lost once in their last six games.

Doncaster make the journey down from South Yorkshire having won 3-0 at home to Newport County on Saturday, Rob Street with two and Luke Molyneux with the other, as Rovers stayed third in the table with 61 points from 34 league matches. Having had a wobble in form at the start of February, Donny have won their last three games.

Rovers manager Grant McCann has described playing Bromley as a tough physical challenge and warned his players they are in for a battle in ‘The Land of The Giants’, but also praised The Ravens for their impressive start to life in the EFL.

When the sides met at the Keepmoat Stadium in October, Bromley won 1-0 with a goal from Ben Thompson, in a game that saw another fantastic goalkeeping display from Bromley custodian Grant Smith and some solid defending.

This game looks set to be equally as close with Doncaster hoping to maintain their place in the top three and Bromley looking to edge towards to the top seven. The away ticket allocation sold out weeks ago, but there were a small number of home tickets available at the time of writing.

Kick off is at 7:45pm.
