After consecutive 3-1 defeats to Peterborough Utd & Leyton Orient. Bromley look to bounce back on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League at Hayes Lane.
With seven players missing from the squad due to injury & suspension last weekend, it was an unfamiliar looking line up that gave a good account of itself at Brisbane Road, but ultimately couldn’t live with league leaders in the second half despite leading 1-0 at half time.
Manager Neil Smith is hopeful that he will have a few of his players back for this week, but it looks unlikely that this will include Omar Bugeil who was injured while playing for Lebanon against Australia in the week.
The Daggers make the trip over from in East London in good form, having started to pick up under manager Peter Taylor, as they edge away from the bottom of the table. Saturday’s 2-1 win over AFC Fylde took them to 21st place with 18 points from 20 games.
The Ravens now find themselves five points off the bottom four and will be looking to notch a victory over a side beneath them in the table, having slipped to sixteenth with 23 points from 20 matches.
When the sides met at Hayes Lane last season Bromley ran out 3-1 winners in April with goals from Jack Holland & Frankie Raymond, The Daggers having taken the honours in August with a 5-1 win at Victoria Road.
With both teams keen to distance themselves from the relegation places as the midway point of the season approaches, this should be a hard fought match in front of another good crowd.
