Bromley are back in National League action again on Saturday afternoon when they take on Play Off challengers Chesterfield at Hayes Lane.
The Ravens go into the game sitting in eleventh place with 59 points from 39 league matches, on Tuesday night they drew 1-1 at home to Aldershot Town, with Byron Webster grabbing an 87th minute equaliser to earn Bromley a point.
Manager Andy Woodman was pleased with his team’s performance, but said his side should have taken some of their chances created in the first half.
Chesterfield travel down from Derbyshire sitting in sixth with 73 points from 40 league games, The Spireites beat Dover Athletic 3-2 at home last Saturday with two goals from Saidou Khan and one from Jeff King.
Paul Cook’s team have a seven point lead on eighth place Dagenham & Redbridge, but will be looking to make sure they maintain that gap to finish in the top seven play off places.
Andy Woodman’s Bromley are just playing for pride in their final five league games, but the players do have the incentive of the FA Trophy final to aim for at the end of the campaign and having won only one of their last fourteen National League games they will be hoping to turn this form around.
Marcus Sablier returned to the team on Tuesday night following a loan spell at Welling Utd, with Byron Webster & Luke Coulson also back from lay offs, but Omar Sowunmi & Harry Forster are still side lined with injury.
When the sides met in the reverse fixture back in September the game ended 2-2 with Michael Cheek putting Bromley in front before George Carline and Manny Oyeleke put Chesterfield 2-1 up, only for Cheek to equalise in injury time for The Ravens much to the delight of the travelling fans behind that goal.
Home fans will be hoping for a similar spirited display on Saturday.
Tickets for the game can be purchased from the Bromley FC website at £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, £7 for 16-18 year olds and Under16s go free. There is also a printed programme for £2.50.
