Bromley face their biggest game of the season so far on Easter Monday when they take on Boreham Wood in the National League at Hayes Lane, knowing a win could move them into the play off places.
The Ravens go into the game having drawn 1-1 away at Barnet on Good Friday, Michael Cheek equalising for Bromley in the second half, the point kept Andy Woodman’s side in eighth with 62 points from 41 games played, unbeaten in four and just two points behind Eastleigh who occupy the last play off spot.
Boreham Wood suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Dagenham & Redbridge on Good Friday, which saw them slip to sixth in the table with 65 points from 41 league matches.
Luke Garrard’s side have hit a rough patch of form at the crucial time of the season winning only one of their last five games.
When the teams met at Meadow Park in October, Bromley won 2-0 with a double from Adam Marriott and the striker has recently returned to the squad after a spell out with injury.
Byron Webster is also back in contention, but the form of the current back three is making the captain wait for his chance to return to the starting line up.
Bromley & Boreham Wood were both promoted from National League South back in 2014/15, and are no strangers to each other going back decades to their days in the Isthmian League.
To add extra spice to the game Wood have former Ravens Josh Rees & Chris Bush in their squad, who will be looking to prove a point on their return to Hayes Lane. Bush started this season with Bromley before leaving in December.
Entry for the game is only £10 and are available advance from the club website, so a good crowd is expected for this massive game that will help shape the play off picture with only five league games left to play.
Kick off is at 3pm.
