Bromley v Barrow preview

As far as league games go Tuesday night’s National League fixture at Hayes Lane doesn’t come much bigger as play of chasing Bromley face relegation threatened Barrow in a game both sides will be desperate to win.

On the back of three consecutive victories The Ravens now know that two more wins would guarantee them a spot in the promotion play offs, while Barrow are battling for survival against Woking to avoid the last relegation place, knowing a win would almost certainly be enough to achieve safety given their superior goal difference.

The Bluebirds drew 1-1 at Aldershot on Saturday, heartbreakingly conceding in the last minute, while Bromley won their match over Boreham Wood 3-2 with an Omar Bugeil goal in injury time, having trailed 2-0 in the first half.

When the two sides met at Holker Street in November Bromley won 3-0 with goals from Frankie Raymond, Luke Wanadio and Dominic Vose, but Tuesday’s game could prove to be a lot tighter with Barrow having picked up seven points from their last four games under former Gillingham manager Adrian Pennock.

The club have appealed for local support going into the game, their last home game of the season, hoping to at least match Saturday’s attendance of over 1,200 to cheer Neil Smith’s men on and keep hope alive going into the final game of the league campaign away at Maidenhead Utd on Saturday lunchtime.
