In form Bromley return to National League action on Saturday evening with a home game against Altrincham at Hayes Lane, a match also being shown live on TNT Sports.
Andy Wodman’s side go into the game fresh from a 2-1 win away at beleaguered Southend Utd last weekend, courtesy of goals from Corey Whitely and Michael Cheek, a victory that consolidated The Ravens second place in the league table with 48 points from 24 games, eight points behind leaders Chesterfield who have two games in hand.
Having signed Myles Weston towards the end of last week, Woodman added striker Levi Amantchi from Maidstone Utd on Monday as he looks to strengthen his squad for the promotion push in the second half of the season. Amantchi has scored 20 goals for The Stones so far this season in National League South, but his Bromley debut will be delayed by injury.
Altrincham travel down from Greater Manchester sitting in fourth with 38 points from 22 league matches. Last Saturday Alty won 2-1 at home to AFC Fylde with two goals from Chris Conn-Clarke, taking him up to twelve for the campaign and in turn moving Phil Parkinson’s team to within five points of Barnet in third.
When the sides met at Moss Lane in September, Bromley ran out 2-1 winners with a late goal from Todd Miller after Justin Amaluzor had equalised Corey Whitely’s early goal. This match looks set to be equally as close with two inform teams looking to start the festive fixtures with a win live on TV and maintain their play off push.
