Bromley play their first home game of the new National League season on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Altrincham at Hayes Lane.
The Ravens started their campaign with a 3-2 defeat away at Wealdstone last weekend, falling behind early on before Omar Sowunmi and Michael Cheek netted for Andy Woodman’s team just before the break, only for The Stones to score twice on the second half.
Reice Charles-Cook made an impressive second debut in goal having re-signed for the club on Friday, while striker Adam Marriott also made his Bromley bow and summer loan signings Reece Hannam & Ethan Coleman both featured for The Ravens as well.
Altrincham drew their league opener 1-1 at home to Maidstone Utd on Saturday, Chris Conn-Clarke with the equaliser right on half time for Alty, having conceded an own goal early on.
Phillips Parkinson’s side turned full time this season as they look to consolidate their place in non-league football’s top flight following promotion back to this level the previous year.
Altrincham have a rich history at this level, having won the league twice back in the early 1980s, before the days of automatic promotion to the Football League.
When the teams met at Hayes Lane towards the end of last season, the game ended 1-1, Mooney equalising late on for the visitors after Mason Bloomfield had put Bromley in front in the first half and this game looks set to be equally as close, as both teams look to notch their first wins of the new season.
