After two good wins over the New Year period Bromley look to continue their winning run at home to AFC Fylde in the National League on Saturday afternoon at Hayes Lane.
The Ravens recorded a fine 4-2 derby win over Ebbsfleet Utd in front of the BT cameras on New Year’s Evening, having won 1-0 at Leyton Orient two days earlier, which took them up to sixth in the table.
Fylde recorded a superb 5-2 win over Tranmere Rovers on Monday to end a run of disappointing results over December and have taken well to life in the National League over all following promotion from Conference North last season. They currently sit thirteenth with 35 points from 25 games, with top scorer Danny Rowe netting 17 times this campaign so far.
When the two sides met on the Lancashire coast back in the Autumn the game ended 2-2 after Bromley had led 2-0 and it looks like this will be another close fought match this time around.
Neil Smith was very happy with his teams efforts against Fleet with goals from four different players and singled out Louis Dennis for praise, the young number 10 adapting well to his new role down the middle, scoring eight goals in seven games.
With Bromley attracting over 1,000 fans for virtually every home league game now, there should be another good crowd for this match as they look to keep the push for the play offs. Although Smith has been keen to say that the teams focus is to reach 51 points and then see where they are, a target which is only seven points away now with 18 games to spare!
