Bromley have started adding players to their squad ahead of The Ravens’ debut season in League Two, bringing back three players who have previously played for the club.
Manager Andy Woodman has re-signed defender Omar Sowunmi from Sutton Utd, midfielder Lewis Leigh from Preston North End and goalkeeper Sam Long from Lincoln City.
Sowunmi was previously with Bromley for the 2021/22 season playing in the FA Trophy final win over Wrexham before leaving for League Two football with Sutton Utd. He returns to Hayes Lane with the two clubs having passed each other with the Surrey club’s relegation and Bromley’s promotion.
Lewis Leigh had a spell on loan with Bromley in the first half of last season, playing twelve times and impressing The Ravens fans with his performances in the centre of midfield.
Sam Long comes in from Lincoln City having played for Falkirk on loan in SPL League One last season, helping The Bairns to promotion. Long previously played for Bromley on loan in 2023.
The three new signings take the first team squad up to 22 players, with more expected to arrive in the coming days.
The Ravens’ first League Two home game against AFC Wimbledon on 16th August has been moved to a 12:30 kick off and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
