The 2019 Kent County Swimming Championships were held over the past 4 weekends with the first weekend being held at the London Aquatic Centre and the remaining at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
Bromley Swimming Club finished top of the medal tables with 42 Golds, 50 Silvers and 31 Bronze. The club has gone from strength to strength the past 9 years and this year’s result are the best in club history.
Bromley had 13 Swimmers in the top 5 of total points scored by individual swimmers in each age group with Tamryn van Selm and Imogen Meers claiming the top spot in the girls’ 15 years and 17 years & over age groups respectively and Alex Corver getting the top spot in the boys’ 13 year old category.
Bromley SC look to build on these performances at the National Arena League B final gala which takes place in Cardiff on the 2 March. This is the second year that Bromley have qualified for this prestigious event and look forward to completing against some of the best clubs in the country.
Head Coach, Dave Court, who was the runner up 2018 Swim England Coach of the Year commented,
“The wide range of success that we achieved this year goes to show the depth of talent at Bromley SC. Several of this year’s performances were highly ranked in Europe with a couple close to the top in the world. It looks like an exciting year ahead for us.”
