Bromley took a significant step towards their dream of winning the title with a hard fought win over a solid Eastbourne side who battled until the end.
It was a 2-1 victory for the home side with goals from Jamie Slabber in the first half and in the second half from Brad Goldberg.
The Ravens started brightly, but Borough created the better chances with Darren Lok firing over. As Bromley settled again Moses Ademola had a shot saved and also sent great balls over which Brad Goldberg and Anthony Cook just missed.
The home side took the lead on 28 minutes when a passing move from the back eventually came to Jamie Slabber who hit a powerful drive that looped up off Borough Keeper Lewis Carey and into the net.
The visitors rallied though and drew level on 42 minutes when Ryan Worrall swept the ball home as Bromley failed to clear their lines from a set piece.
Half time 1-1
The second half saw Bromley start well Cook went close before they went back in front on 52 minutes when Reece Prestsdge set up with a great ball to Goldberg who hit a deflected shot off Ian Simpemba into the net.
As the half went on Eastbourne pressed Bromley back deeper and only Alan Julian’s superb bravery in goal kept the lead.
The home keeper making a double save from Kane Haysam and then again from Gavin McCallum as Borough pushed. Despite late pressure The Ravens held out and secured a vital win and put the chances of promotion to Conference Premier in their own hands.
