Bromley progressed past Uxbridge into the next round of the great old cup competition with a late show of power, but the game was in the balance right up until the visitors were reduced to ten men on the hour mark.

The Ravens got off to a good start with Moses Ademola setting up Duncan Culley who headed against the bar. Culley then fired over as did Jack Holland soon after.

Bromley eventually went in front on 12 minutes when Culley, making his full debut, latched on to a Pierre Joseph-Dubois pass and scored  after taking the ball round the keeper for a cool finish.

Uxbridge drew level two minutes later though when Kevin Warner turned home a set piece and they also created two more chances soon after when Craig Tomkins and Matty Woods went close.

Bromley then battled back and after lots of possession took the lead again on 38 minutes when Ademola was fouled 20 yards out and Danny Waldren curled a superb free kick over the wall and into the bottom corner to edge Bromley in front.

Harry Grant went close with a doubled effort just before the break, but Reds Keeper Rourke Pickford did well to keep him out.

The second half saw Bromley look to impose their gamer on the Southern League Division One visitors with Culley & Grant going close after good work by Ugo Udoji.

Then on the hour mark Uxbridge’s Dave Thomas shown a straight red for a professional foul on Cullet as he lacthed on to another great Ademola ball and closed in on the keeper.

Bromley then took full advantage with sub Damien Scannell causing lots of problems down the right. Waldren fired just wide, before Scannell made it 3-1 on 82 minutes cutting in from the wing and finishing with a well placed shot from 18 yards.

New boy Jordan Robertson made it 4-1 on 85 minutes with a smart turn and shot and then turned provider setting up Adam Burchall to find the net late on for his first goal for The Ravens, much to his relief and the joy of his teammates.
