Bromley secured a third placed finish after coming back from 2-0 down to grab a vital win over a tough Stortford side who have been playing three games a week since March.
The Ravens started the brighter with Brendan Kiernan going close, Joe Anderson having a free kick tipped away and Bradley Goldberg firing over.
Stortford held out and then battled their way back into the game taking the lead on 43 minutes with their first shot on goal when Michael Richens found the corner of the net with a sweetly taken free kick.
Bromley sparked into life going into the break with Goldberg missing a good chance and Ashley Nicholls having a shot saved by Joe Wright.
The second half saw Bromley fall two behind on 48 minutes when Johnny Herd converted a good move, but then with the introduction of Louis Dennis they finally got going.
Dennis powered into the box immediately and following a scramble to get it away Jay May smashed home the loose ball for 2-1 on 57 minutes. Dennis went close again and Rob Swaine had a header saved, before Bromley were initially awarded a penalty for a foul on Adam Bailey-Dennis only for the Linesman to tell the referee the foul was just outside the box.
The Ravens huffed and puffed until they got the equaliser on 78 minutes when Elliott Buchanan’s drive was parried into the path of Goldberg who scored from close range.
After a great spell the winner came two minutes from time when a big ball into the box was headed home by Danny Waldren flicking it over Wright and just under the bar.
In injury time Reece Prestedge missed a great chance equalise, but he fired over and Bromley held on for a just about deserved three points, which will help in the coming play offs.
