Bromley 2-2 Tonbridge Angels
Bromley 2-2 Tonbridge Angels

Bromley were thwarted in their attempt to win their first game since October by a fantastic display from Angels Keeper Lee Worgan in an ill tempered and entertaining Boxing Day game at Hayes Lane.

Lining up 4-4-2 The Ravens got off to a great start with Orlando Smith putting them in front on 7 minutes finishing off a good run with a low shot under Worgan.

Bromley created the better chances with Rory Hill & Hakeem Araba going close, but Tonbridge nearly equalised late in the half when Frannie Collin’s free kick was tipped away by debutant Keeper Lloyd Anderson.

The second half saw The Angels start stronger, Scott Kinch missed an open goal before Sonny Miles drew then level with a powerful low shot on 49 minutes. Bromley then came right back into the game, Hill was denied by Worgan before Robbie Kember was sent off for a second yellow after a two footed lunge on Liam Harwood.

The Ravens took the lead on hour when Araba was floored and he then got up to place the penalty home for 2-1. Smith, Ibra Sakajja, Araba, Lewis Taylor, Freddie Warren all had good efforts saved by Worgan before The Angels grabbed a point on 85 minutes.

A long throw into the box was eventually bundled over the line by Mikel Suarez among a mass of players. Late on Worgan made another great double save from Araba and Sakajja to preserve his sides point and deny Mark Goldberg a winning end to 2011.
