Bromley continued their fine run of home form in the league with a well earned win over Havant thanks to two early second half strikes in an entertaining game at a chilly Hayes Lane.
Bromley started the game in positive fashion Bradley Goldberg had an early effort saved by Scott Bevan, Dean Poolley missed with a header after great wing work from Brendan Kiernan and Ashley Nicholls hit the bar with a curling effort from distance.
Havant fought back into things as the half went on Sahr Kabba had an effort saved by Joe Welch and he also denied Steve Ramsey to keep the scores level at the break.
The second half saw The Ravens start well again and this time they turned pressure into goals when Nicholls played in Pierre Joseph-Dubois who coolly slipped the ball past Bevan into the corner of the net to make it 1-0 on 52 minutes.
The home side kept pushing and were 2-0 up on 58 minutes when Nicholls hit a twice deflected shot from 20 yards that left Bevan with no chance.
Jay May headed just wide soon after and Goldberg fired over before the game began to drift.
Late on The Hawks rallied, Edward Harris shot over and Nic Ciardini forced a save from Welch, but Mark Goldberg’s Bromley held out for the win.
