Bromley fans were treated to a much needed home win over promotion chasing Chelmsford thanks to a solid team display of quality and character.
Chelmsford started the game on top with Anthony Cook & Robert Edmans going close, but it was the home side who took the lead on 10 mins when a corner was headed goalwards by Moses Swaibu and Louie Theophanous turned it in from close range.
The visitors continued to have more possession and chances with Omer Riza & David Rainford just off target. Ali Fusieni was denied the chance to put Bromley two up with a fantastic save from Danzell St Louis Hamilton tipping his fierce drive over.
Then with The Ravens enjoying their best spell Pierre Joseph-Dubois hit the inside of the post just before the half time whistle, but the ball bounced back into play.
The second half saw Chelmsford press early on and Bromley suffered the loss of influential centre back Moses Swaibu on 49 mins, but they then rallied and started to ask questions of the Essex side.
Fuseini was denied by St Louis Hamilton again after a great run from Jack Holland and Helge Orome had a shot saved from the resulting corner.
Anthony Cook was guilty of an awful miss when well placed for Chelmsford and Max Cornhill was denied by Joe Welch before The Ravens put the game beyond doubt on 79 mins.
Mike Jones had an effort deflected for a corner and the set piece fell to Tony Finn on the edge of the box who unleashed an unstoppable drive into the roof of the net for 2-0.
Bromley saw the final few minutes out with little concern and celebrated their fifth home win of the season that eases their relegation fears even more.
